Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue, titled "Molecular Mechanisms and Therapeutic Advances in Hypertension Management and Vascular Health", will offer an in-depth exploration into the molecular mechanisms that underpin hypertension and its significant impact in cardiovascular diseases. It will focus on key areas such as endothelial function, lipid metabolism, and vascular biology, providing a comprehensive overview of the processes that contribute to the development and progression of hypertension. This Special Issue will cover a range of topics, including the pathophysiology of hypertension, gestational hypertension, and related metabolic disorders, with a particular emphasis on gene expression regulation, cholesterol metabolism, and the development of atherosclerosis.
We invite original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that investigate the latest findings in these areas, as well as exploring innovative therapeutic strategies for managing hypertension and improving vascular health. These include drug treatments for cardiovascular diseases, the mechanisms behind drug resistance, and the potential role of bioactive compounds and functional foods in the prevention and management of hypertension. Additionally, this Special Issue will explore the growing field of personalized medicine, focusing on how tailored pharmacological interventions and non-pharmacological approaches, such as lifestyle modifications and dietary strategies, can offer more effective treatment options.
By showcasing cutting-edge research from a variety of disciplines, this Special Issue will enhance our scientific understanding of cardiovascular health and hypertension. Ultimately, it will provide new insights and therapeutic avenues to improve patient outcomes, promote vascular health, and advance the treatment of cardiovascular diseases through molecular-level interventions.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Current Issues in Molecular Biology is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2200 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
