Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The Wnt signaling pathway plays a central role in both solid tumors and hematologic malignancies by regulating key processes such as cell proliferation, survival, stemness, and metastasis. Despite extensive research into Wnt signaling in cancer biology, few therapeutic strategies targeting this pathway have been successfully translated into clinical application.

Importantly, the role of Wnt signaling in shaping the proliferation and function of immune cells remains poorly understood. As immunotherapies increasingly reshape cancer treatment paradigms, a deeper understanding of how Wnt signaling modulates the immune responses is urgently needed to overcome barriers imposed by the tumor microenvironment.

This Special Issue will address this critical knowledge gap by examining the multifaceted roles of the Wnt pathway in cancer immunotherapy. It will highlight both fundamental discoveries and emerging (pre)clinical insights that inform how targeting this complex pathway could enhance anti-tumor immunity and lead to the development of more effective, durable therapeutic strategies.
