Aims & Scope
Aims
Breast Cancer Research and Care (ISSN: 3043-100X) is an international, peer‑reviewed, open‑access journal published by MDPI dedicated to advancing the full spectrum of breast cancer research. The journal serves as a multidisciplinary forum that integrates fundamental discoveries with clinical application, with the explicit goal of improving prevention, early detection, precision therapeutics, survivorship, and long‑term patient outcomes in breast cancer.
The journal welcomes submissions that advance breast cancer biology and care, including original research articles, comprehensive reviews, case reports, and short communications. Other article types may also be considered when they contribute meaningfully to the field. We encourage authors to present their experimental and theoretical findings with maximal clarity and depth. For studies involving experimental work, complete methodological details are required to ensure rigor and reproducibility.
There are no restrictions on manuscript length, allowing investigators to report complex datasets, mechanistic insights, and clinically relevant observations in full. Authors may also submit electronic files, datasets, computational tools, or detailed protocols as Supplementary Material.
Scope
This journal covers the full spectrum of breast cancer research, reflecting its multidisciplinary essence. We welcome submissions on a wide array of topics, including but not limited to the following:
- Epidemiology and cancer prevention;
- Molecular biology and pathogenesis;
- Biomarker discovery;
- Advanced diagnostics and imaging;
- Multi‑omic profiling (whole genome sequencing, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, radiomics);
- Resources (breast cancer models, cell lines, animal models);
- Therapeutic modalities and clinical management;
- Metastatic breast cancer;
- Patient-centered care and survivorship;
- Palliative and end-of-life care.
