100th Anniversary
The year 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of Advances in Respiratory Medicine (ARM), a peer-reviewed open access journal on respiratory medicine, covering allergology, oncology, immunology and infectious diseases of the respiratory system, published bimonthly online. It is the official journal of the Polish Respiratory Society (PtChP). With an Impact Factor of 4.5 and a CiteScore of 4.5, the journal is covered in Scopus, ESCI (Web of Science), PubMed, MEDLINE, PMC, Embase, and other databases. The journal has published more than 1663 papers from more than 1329 authors. More than 455 reviewers have reviewed the journal at least once. We equally value the contributions made by our editors, authors, and reviewers.
In honor of the journal’s 100th anniversary, we are reflecting on our past accomplishments and embarking on an exciting new chapter. We invite you to join us in celebrating.
Journal History
The inaugural issue of the Polish language journal Gruźlica (Tuberculosis) (Warszawa, Poland) was released. Gruźlica (Tuberculosis) was published as a monthly journal.
Renamed to Gruźlica and published as an annual journal. Gruźlica was issued by Związek Przeciwgruźliczy (the Anti-Tuberculosis Association in English) in Poland.
The publication of Gruźlica was suspended due to IInd World War.
Publishing of the Gruźlica was resumed.
Renamed to Gruźlica i Choroby Płuc. Gruźlica i Choroby Płuc became an affiliated journal of the Polish Phtisiopulmonology Society and the Institute of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.
Renamed to Pneumonologia Polska, and adopted a quarterly publication schedule.
Renamed to Pneumonologia i Alergologia Polska, and adopted a bimonthly publication schedule.
From this year onward, all articles in Pneumonologia i Alergologia Polska were published in English only.
Introduction of Open Journal Systems for the management of the submission and peer review processes.
Renamed to Advances in Respiratory Medicine. Advances in Respiratory Medicine continued to be published as a bimonthly journal.
Advances in Respiratory Medicine was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier), starting with Volume 83 (Issue 1).
Advances in Respiratory Medicine was indexed in Index Medicus, MEDLINE, and PubMed.
Advances in Respiratory Medicine indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 84 (Issue 6).
Advances in Respiratory Medicine received its first CiteScore (2017) of 1.1.
Advances in Respiratory Medicine was published by MDPI from Volume 90, Issue 4 (2022).
Advances in Respiratory Medicine received its first Impact Factor (1.8).
Advances in Respiratory Medicine received its 2024 Impact Factor (2.3).
Advances in Respiratory Medicine received its CiteScore (2024) of 3.5.
