This conference has proven its success year after year, and the 9th edition, held in collaboration with the University of Portsmouth and the University of Cagliari, is expected to stand out with insightful discussions on the Art and Science of Heritage.
The 9th edition of the CAH conference will cover topics related to creative and technical heritage conservation, heritage preservation, and community engagement. Additionally, it aims to highlight archaeological, historic, modern, and contemporary heritage conservation, as well as the diversity of scales, including landscape, urban, and architectural ones. These will be explored within the realm of sustainability and accessibility, discussing the relations between cultural heritage preservation and development. The conference will underscore interdisciplinary and co-creative methods for conserving both the tangible heritage sites (architectural landmarks, civic and military heritage) and the associated intangible aspects of heritage. It will touch upon the significance, authenticity, and identity of cultural heritage and the economic impact that its conservation brings.
