Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Among many other countries, the USA is at the forefront of Environmental Sciences. In the last five years, there have been 300843 papers published related to Environmental Sciences. In total, 24% of papers are from the USA. Furthermore, many papers can have good citation conditions.
This Special Issue aims at publishing a collection of research contributions illustrating the recent achievements in all aspects of the development, study, and understanding of Environmental Sciences. We hope to establish a collection of papers that will be of interest to scholars in the field. Contributions in the form of full papers, reviews, and communications about related topics are very welcome.
The aim of this Special Issue focuses on “The State-of-the Art Environmental Sciences in the USA” is to promote the advancements in environmental sciences in the areas of fossil fuel processes, renewable energy and sustainability development, electrochemical processes, wastewater treatment and environmental remediation, solid waste management processes, valorization techniques, and waste-to-energy processes in the United States. The Special Issue also addresses key issues and concerns related to environmental sciences advancements. These focus areas are industrially and academically connected where technological innovation plays an important role to reduce greenhouse gas emission and environmental pollution.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
