Computational and Numerical Mathematics
A section of AppliedMath (ISSN 2673-9909).
Section Information
This Section is committed to promoting methodological innovation, algorithm optimization of computational and numerical mathematics, and their applications in scientific and engineering problems. Its core concerns include numerical approximation and interpolation, finite element/finite volume methods, numerical linear algebra, high-performance computing and parallel algorithms, numerical solutions of fractional differential equations, and numerical simulation of multiphysics coupling problems. It particularly welcomes studies exploring the intersection of this field with fluid mechanics, electromagnetic fields, materials science, and artificial intelligence (e.g., combination of numerical algorithms and deep learning). As a key Section of the AppliedMath journal, it aims to provide a platform for research on “solving practical problems through numerical computing,” complementing the journal’s coverage in the direction of “connection between computational tools and engineering applications” and facilitating the transformation of theoretical algorithms into engineering practice.
