Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue aims to explore the simulation of soil–water–salt interactions under the context of agricultural sustainability. With the increasing severity of global climate change, land degradation, and water resource scarcity, the effective management of soil–water–salt balance has become a key factor in enhancing agricultural productivity and environmental protection. The interactions of water and salt in the soil not only affect crop water supply and nutrient absorption but are also directly related to irrigation management, soil improvement, and the stability of agricultural ecosystems.

The goal of this Special Issue is to focus on simulation techniques for soil–water–salt interactions and to explore how modeling can simulate the dynamic changes in water and salt under different soil types, climatic conditions, and agricultural practices, thus providing scientific support for agricultural management. We welcome papers that address soil water–salt simulation, especially those that integrate specific agricultural scenarios (such as arid regions, saline–alkali lands, precision agriculture, etc.) for case studies and applications.

We invite scholars engaged in relevant fields to submit original papers, covering topics such as the construction, optimization, and validation of soil–water–salt simulation models, as well as their applications in agricultural irrigation management, crop growth regulation, land restoration, and other areas.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Agronomy is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
