1. Introduction
This volume of Materials Proceedings presents selected peer-reviewed papers from the ANM2025 Conference, held at the University of Aveiro, Portugal (23–25 July 2025). Please refer to the following website for more details on this annual conference on materials and energy: https://www.advanced-nanomaterials-conference.com/anm-home/. The conference serves as an international forum for the exchange of recent advances and emerging trends in advanced and novel materials research, bringing together participants from academia, research institutions, and industry.
The published contributions cover a broad range of topics, including advanced functional materials, nanomaterials, sustainable materials, processing and characterization techniques, and materials applications across the energy, environmental, and engineering fields. All of the papers included underwent a rigorous peer review process to ensure scientific quality and relevance.
The editors thank the authors, reviewers, conference organizers, and the Materials Proceedings editorial team for their valuable contributions. This Special Issue aims to disseminate the key scientific outcomes of ANM2025 and promote further research and collaboration in materials science.
We look forward to meeting more researchers at ANM2026 (22–24 July 2026), at the University of Aveiro, Portugal.
