Cover Story: This study assesses travelers’ knowledge about traveler’s diarrhea (TD) and the impact of a pre-travel consultation. Conducted at a travel clinic in Lisbon, Portugal, the study used a structured questionnaire to evaluate TD knowledge before and after the consultation, measuring its impact along with the influence of sociodemographic factors and previous travel experience. While the consultations improved travelers’ overall knowledge, some misconceptions about TD prevention and management persisted. These findings highlight the need for more comprehensive pre-travel education to reduce the risk and burden of TD among travelers. View this paper
