Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors describe the possible relationship between the micro- and macroelement content of the soil with the stevioside composition of Stevia rebaudiana. The topic dealt with is interesting, with significant practical applications. The authors should improve two sections, the introduction, by better presenting the proposed work, and the conclusions, indicating clearly, more than what is reported in the presented article, the results obtained. The reader would certainly be interested in the work but the text does not show the results obtained in a clear and immediate way, that is, it does not indicate the quantitative relantioship that links the composition of the soil with the greater or lesser production of the steviosides considered. The abbreviations used are reported several times, unnecessarily, the name of the plant must always be written in italic and abbreviated after the first time. References must be written correctly as required by the journal.
