Cover Story: The seed of conduction system pacing (CSP) was first described in 1970 and was followed by the introduction of His bundle pacing (HBP) in 2000. However, the wave of CSP only rapidly gained momentum with the introduction of the left bundle branch area pacing (LBBP) technique by Huang et al. Although CSP was first performed with the Medtronic SelectSecure 3830 lumenless lead, existing conventional stylet driven leads have also been successfully used for implants. We describe our centre’s experience performing LBBP using the various sheaths and leads, highlighting the difference in their characteristics and providing some solutions for overcoming technical difficulties in selected cases.
