Cover Story: Confinement was found to affect the psychosocial wellbeing of university students, as well as the number of coping strategies developed during this period. This study analysed the real impact that confinement has on their levels of emotional intelligence, coping strategies, anxiety, stress and depression through the use of three validated scales and questions related to the level of adherence to the measures designed by the government to address this situation. Findings verified that the circumstances in which they lived in confinement affected the variables considered, while there was a positive relationship between coping and levels of anxiety, depression and stress.
