The journal retracts the article titled “Amplitude and Phase Computable Ocean Wave Real-Time Modeling with GPU Acceleration” [1], as cited above.
Following publication, concerns raised by representatives of the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding a significant overlap between this publication [1] and their original work [2,3,4], as well as unauthorized use of materials produced by a different authorship group.
Adhering to our standard procedure, the Editorial Office and Editorial Board conducted an investigation that confirmed significant overlap with minor adaptions, specifically within Figures 1, 3, 5 and 13 and Equations (15)–(17), between these four articles [1,2,3,4] without appropriate acknowledgment or citation. In addition, further unauthorized re-publication of content without appropriate permission from these articles [2,3,4] was confirmed. As a result, the Editorial Board decided to retract this paper as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering.
The authors did not agree to this retraction.
