Cover Story: In the present work, data from unmanned aerial vehicles, field geology measurements, and petrographic analyses were combined in a geographical information system environment, providing data about the geographical distribution and mineralogical differences of beachrock formations across the east shoreline of the Ionian Sea, Greece. Furthermore, for the first time, the correlation between the geotectonic status of the broader coastal area and the beachrock extent, shape, and composition was investigated. View this paper.
