Line        Comment

45- is a,     it is approximately 2-3

48-water conserving

53-54-never say always

56- reduces

57-resulting in wasted

57- rice greed? Reword,  reduce rice taste?  Reword.  Diminish rice flavor profile cahracteristics

67-Above ground parts? Terrestrial canopy, etc

71-Areas, no, regions yes,  not rich in light, ample photo synthetic radiation PAR for most tropical equatorial latitude type rice, etc, reword

73-flood, not flooding

77-78- take _ out of words, area not , region

89 reword

2.2 Experiment  rework for flow

Detail the agronomic practices, soil tests, seeding depth, etc

Line 117-need a table defining the treatment better

126  fine?

Page 5-  the results regarding the LSDs look wrong

(b) for instance you are saying G1D3 and G2D4 are statistically different at a and d respective. Not when G2D3 is b and lower than g2d4.

                Rerun Stats and LSDs

Table 2.  reduce decimal to 00.0

L198  aboveground

The flow of wording in the beginning is really rough but good, maybe a translational issue that can be cleaned up for flow.

Considering I’m unsure of the stats,  the rest of the paper is based off that.  Rerun and see it changes your results and discussion and resubmit

I rate the work submitted for the evaluation as high. First of all, because it meets all substantive and formal requirements.
The authors properly presented the research area they dealt with, namely the search for the most effective management of irrigation and nitrogen fertilization in rice cultivation. The selection of the species which was rice, one of the most important cultivated species used in the nutrition of the world's population, should be appreciated. In addition, the influence of the most important factors that influence the growth and development and, consequently, the yield size of each crop was analyzed. I mean water and nitrogen. As we know in the world, freshwater resources are very limited, in regions where rice is grown, water must be supplied through an irrigation system. Traditional rice cultivation techniques consume large amounts of water, which is often wasted or inefficiently used. When looking for various methods of rationalizing water consumption in plant cultivation, we should focus on such solutions that will enable the use of water in the most effective way to obtain high agricultural production with low unit consumption of water and nutrients from fertilizers. The most yield-generating fertilizer component in rice cultivation is nitrogen. The search for a technology in which both water and nitrogen consumption will be the most effective for increasing crops and at the same time the least harmful to the environment is the challenge of modern agriculture.
The authors of the work have just tried to find an answer to this challenge of our time.
Moving on to the evaluation of the individual parts of the work, I believe that they are developed at a high level. The research methods are correctly selected and clearly described, with references to specific literature items. The results of the research were described in detail and presented in a clear way in appropriate charts and tables.
In the discussion of results chapter, the data from the author's own research was compared with the results of other researchers and an attempt was made to explain some dependencies.
All the work is summarized in the chapter, conclusions that fully correspond to the research results.
The included references contain items that are consistent with the topic and purpose of the work.

1. I read with interest your work "Optimizing Irrigation and Nitrogen Management to Increase Yield and Nitrogen Recovery Efficiency in Double-Season Rice". Below are my major concerns and some specific comments.

2. Your result is useful information, and it is needed to describe the difference between AWD method and the irrigation method. AWD is a more useful sistem for reducing the methane emission which is main GHG gas

3.. AWD method is more useful for increasing yield and reducing the water supply compared with the irrigation method and it can reduce the N fertilizer in the early season (because G1D3 is a higher yield than G2D4 treatment in the irrigation method)

4. why 1000grain weight was different between 2018 and 2019?

5 .include the importance of green gas emission in paddy rice in the introduction section and AWD system

6. make detail in material and method (NR activity etc )
