Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The article deals with the issue of "conviviality" and "openness" in the construction sector with the real case of WikiHouse den Bosh.  The authors analysis these aspects through existing tools: a simplified Matrix of Convivial Technology and the open-O-meter. The topic of the article is interesting and up to date.

The article is well done; I would like to suggest some improvements to the manuscript. It would be interesting that in the chapter "Anaylsis" the authors presented some quanative results derived from the application of the tools so as to confirm the analysis. In my opinion the addition of a discussion is desirable so as to deepen the topic and justify some sentence reported in the conclusion, such as: "the WikiHouse appears to be more convivial than a traditional construction".

Generally this is a good paper that can be interesting to potential readers.

The authors can provide more discussions on the relationship between DGML model and value co-creation.  A comparison between WikiHouse and general housing is expected. How is sustainability achieved through DGML model.
