Cover Story: Cationic functionalized imatinib nanocrystals were prepared via polydopamine coating to achieve significant interaction with mucin, cervical cancer-related cells and murine vaginal mice. When intravaginally administered, these cationic functionalized imatinib nanocrystals effectively inhibited the growth of model tumors in a murine orthotopic cervicovaginal cancer tumor model.
