Title:  Study of Processability in Bamboo-based Fiber Composites

Author:

Ding et al.

General

The paper describes the influence of technological parameters of bamboo processing and tissue orientation on the roughness of the machined surface. The article is well written and easy to understand and has potential utility, but needs to be revised.

L17-18 Check the sentence!

L46-47 “…fracture process: linear, ening, and destruction.” What is ening?

L59 60 “Yang et al. [14] the machinability of carbide end mills for milling carbon fiber composites. “ Verb is missing!

L91 What is nanzhu? Add also the latin name for the bamboo! What was the density of bamboo?

L94-97 Describe more detailed the gluing and pressing process.

Table 2- Beside average roughness (Ra, Rz,..??) values add also standard deviation or coefficient of variation

L130-142, What was the rake angle of cutting tool? What parameter for roughness was used (Ra,  Rz, Rp,Rt,….??)

Table 3 and 4, Figure 3 and 4- What parameter for roughness was used (Ra,  Rz, Rp,Rt,….??)

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper is interesting and brings important contribution to the knowledge. It is well written; however, some improvements were suggested by the reviewer directly in the manuscript. The abstract, the methodology and conclusions require additional information

Some minor English improvements are necessary. A few verbs are missing

Author Response

Thank you for your thorough review. We have revised the sentence to include the missing verb. Additionally, we have made significant improvements to the entire text in order to enhance readability and accuracy.
