Many thanks for the positive comments.

Reviewer 3 Report

The reviewed paper concerns the synthesis of an isonicotinohydrazide derivative. This is an interesting extension of the current state of knowledge, however, I have a few questions and suggestions for the Authors:

- some language corrections are needed:

"Furan carboxamides are furan amides" sounds quite strange

lines 21-22: "thionyl chloride as a coupling agent [6], which not only produces"

- what IR technique did you use (ATR, nujol, KBr pellets...)?

- what about the MS analysis? the deviation in ppm should be less than 5 ppm, and you have about 18 ppm (the isotopic profile also differs slightly: [M]:[M+2] should be almost 1:1 (intensity).

- what about the optimization of the reaction conditions? did you check the ratios of the reagents?

- References- please check the journal abbreviations (once you give the full name and once the abbreviation)

- I suggest adding a title page with authors and affiliations to the supporting information; I think, full 1H and 13C NMR spectra (not just expansions) are necessary to check the purity of the sample.
