About the event
The Fiesole Retreat is an informal meeting of leading library and information industry participants devoted to thinking through and debating the new world order in collection development. It was established on the basis of a shared idea and desire to foster and stimulate dialogue and collaboration within the scholarly publishing sector.
The three-day event offers a unique opportunity to interact with a select group of your colleagues in a relaxed and thoughtful setting.
This year's program topics include:
- "Early Career Researcher and Scholarly Communication: Publication Pressure, Open Access and How can Libraries Support?", by Dr. Rafael Ball;
- "Research funders and the transition to open access books", by Niels Stern; and
- "What drives entrepreneurship in academic publishing?", by Emily Poznanski.
The programme of the conference can be accessed here.
