TropicalMed | TMID Young Scientist Best Paper Award—Winner Announced

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the TMID Young Scientist Best Paper Award at EMOP 2021 (https://emop2020.org/) is Jelena Srbljanović (Serbia), for her paper entitled “Aminoquinolines afford resistance to cerebral malaria in susceptible mice”.

Dr. Jelena Srbljanović is a researcher from the Department of Parasitology, PNG Institute of Medical Research. Her research focuses on zoonotic parasites, with a particular focus on Apicomplexa: Plasmodium spp. and Toxoplasma spp. She has received one European (European Federation of Parasitologists Young Scientist Award at the 12th European Multicolloquium of Parasitology, 20–24 July 2016 in Turku, Finland) and three national awards (2017 Young Scientist Award “Dr Vera i Dušan Kentera”; Annual Award of the Institute for Medical Research, University of Belgrade, 2017; The Best Publication Award, granted by the Serbian Society of Parasitologists, 2019).
