Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
With the consequence of increasing competitive pressure from the global economy, it has been consistently highlighted the need to balance the social, economic and environmental aspects of sustainable development. This can be achieved “through sustainable consumption and production, sustainably managing its natural resources, ensuring just transition and economic viability, and taking urgent action on climate change”. This phenomenon applies to all sectors of the economy, but for each of them different issues are urgent. This special issue is focused on selected microeconomics and macroeconomics aspects in industries, especially:
- Assessment of past and future development in selected industries: energy sector, agriculture and water sector, intersectoral context and collaboration, individual vulnerability and adaptation;
- Social consequences of industry development, global impact on society;
- Microeconomic view on the company, specification of consequences in the use of production factors, impacts of changes in the related regulatory, economic efficiency, impact modelling,
- New business models in high tech industry.
These topics are only examples, and other novel or emerging topics within the area are welcome.
