Polymers Exceptional Reviewers List 2024

We are thrilled to share the updated Exceptional Reviewers List 2024. This program was designed to recognize and honor scholars who have consistently delivered exceptional review reports to our journal. Committed to fostering rigorous research and promoting knowledge exchange, Polymers (ISSN: 2073-4360) recognizes the significant role our reviewers play in maintaining the quality and integrity of the articles we publish. According to surveys conducted in 2023, 91% of our authors rate the peer review as good or excellent, thanks to our pool of excellent reviewers.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all the reviewers who have generously volunteered their time and expertise to assist in Polymers’ peer-review process. Their dedication and attention to detail in evaluating manuscripts, offering valuable feedback, and contributing to academic rigor are truly commendable.
The Exceptional Reviewers List was introduced in April 2024. Each quarter, we will select a group of outstanding reviewers and introduce them here.
Quarter 1:
Name: Prof. Dr. Leno Mascia
Affiliation: Materials Department, Loughborough University, Loughborough, UK
“During my many years of research work on polymer materials, starting in industry and continued in academia till retirement, I have always displayed a greater enthusiasm for innovation than analysis. For this reason, Polymers became an attractive journal for publishing and reviewing research articles. I became increasingly more involved in the latter role after retiring, not only as a way of keeping updated with research activities in the field but also as an obligation to share my experience with the young generation. Reviewing for Polymers, and MPDI journals in general has been a pleasant and intellectually stimulating experience. I have sensed the enthusiasm of the authors for the work presented and the commitment of the editorial team to assist the reviewer and the authors. I was particularly impressed with the way authors have been given the opportunity to improve their paper even when the reviewers’ comments were not favorable. For this reason, I have always tried to be thorough in my comments and even make suggestions for an eventual resubmission.”
