Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in a Special Issue on "Multifunctional Coatings and Films Based on Nanomaterials". We are interested in presenting the latest achievements and advancements in the field of coating technologies, which have various functions and properties.
In our Special Issue, we would like to focus on innovative approaches to the design, synthesis, and application of multifunctional coatings and films. The aim is to showcase the latest trends in the field, including advancements in tribology, antibacterial, conductivity, corrosion resistance, hydrophobicity, and many other properties. Topics may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Synthesis and characterization of multifunctional coatings;
- The application of modern techniques in the production of films;
- The impact of the rheological properties of additives on the properties of coatings and films;
- Physicochemical diagnostics (conductivity, viscosity, and density) of structural defects and integrity in organic and phase-change matrices;
- The application of coatings for corrosion resistance;
- The application of coatings and nanomaterials of medicine, industry, or environmental protection.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
