International Society for Nucleosides, Nucleotides & Nucleic Acids (IS3NA)
The aim of the IS3NA is to capitalize on the knowledge of practicing members across several disciplines to understand the impact of nucleic acids in a plethora of cutting edge scientific questions ranging from the origins of life to the development of novel therapeutics. IS3NA coordinates and sponsors meetings, promote publications and provides a means for the dissemination of knowledge dealing with current research. IS3NA also acts as a mediator for communication, cooperation and understanding between scientists of all nationalities. Furthermore, IS3NA encourages the study of these areas in institutions of higher education to improve the quality of teaching of these topics. Other goals are to promote the rapid dissemination of just published work to all IS3NA members, to provide a means of effectively communication, information about techniques, reagents, job openings, etc. among members.
International Society of Heterocyclic Chemistry (ISHC)
The International Society of Heterocyclic Chemistry (ISHC) was established in August, 1968, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the USA by Dr. Raymond N. Castle (1916-1999). The function of the society is to promote heterocyclic chemistry, in particular by serving as the primary sponsoring agency for the ISHC-Congress, a large biennial meeting attracting up to a thousand participants. Further aims of the ISHC are to honor persons who have made outstanding contributions to the field with two distinguished Awards and the appointment of ISHC Fellows. The ISHC is also actively involved in the publication of “Progress in Heterocyclic Chemistry” (PHC) a major reference work on heterocyclic chemistry published annually since 1989.
Spanish Society of Medicinal Chemistry (SEQT)
The Spanish Society of Medicinal Chemistry (SEQT), is a non-profit and multidisciplinary entity, created in 1977, which aims to encompass all those professionals, companies and organizations whose activity is related to the Spanish Pharmaceutical R & D. The purpose of the SEQT is to promote the development of Therapeutic Chemistry through the organization of scientific meetings that stimulate professional contacts at national and international level, as well as contribute to the training of postgraduates. The SEQT is in turn integrated into the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry‑EFMC , which brings together the majority of European graduates working in this branch of Pharmaceutical R & D.
