Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The rise of precision medicine, also known as personalized medicine, is advancing healthcare toward tailored, precise treatments for individual patients.

With ongoing advancements in biotechnology and our deepening understanding of genetics and genomics, doctors can offer enhanced disease prevention, faster diagnoses, safer prescriptions, and more effective treatments across a broad range of health conditions. Additionally, precision medicine extends beyond treatment selection to include the customization of medical products for specific individuals, such as patient-specific tissue or biomaterials.

Personalized dentistry integrates genetics and modern biotechnology into dental care, aiming for highly accurate patient analysis and individualized therapy selection. The ultimate aim is to establish the most appropriate therapy for each patient, well beyond research purposes.

This Special Issue seeks to gather the latest evidence on the application of personalized dentistry in the dental field.
