Molecular Pathology, Diagnostics, and Therapeutics

Section Information

This section of the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (IJMS) aims to enable rapid publication of contributions on all aspects of molecular pathology, ranging from basic research at the molecular level, to clinical and forensic applications. We welcome studies on molecular mechanisms, diagnostics, and therapeutics of human disease and relevant experimental models using cellular, molecular, biological, chemical and immunological approaches. Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • the molecular and cellular mechanism of diseases and injury
  • immunopathology and diseases
  • mechanisms of immunotoxicity
  • matrix pathobiology
  • in vitro and in vivo aspects of inflammation and autophagy
  • mechanism of tissue alterations
  • mechanisms of genotoxicity
  • musculoskeletal pathology
  • molecular diagnostics
  • molecular targeted therapy
  • cell injury, repair, aging and apoptosis
  • stem cell or gene therapy
  • novel mechanisms of carcinogenesis
  • application of molecular pathology to tissue identification

We also welcome reviews on these subjects, particularly those that challenge existing concepts.
