Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Nursing in men’s health is emerging as a growing and developing scientific and practical field that requires the engagement of researchers, universities, research centers, and health systems around the world. Men in various countries have a reduced life expectancy due to diseases and poor health conditions, in which the role of nursing professionals is crucial to changing scenarios, behaviors, attitudes, and health practices. Scientific evidence from various perspectives and disciplines (political, social, cultural, and historical) has been gaining prominence in studies on men, masculinities, care, and health, making the advancement of nursing in this field essential.

With this Special Issue, we hope to promote scientific dissemination, stimulate knowledge translation, increase the visibility of researchers, and contribute to the growth and maturity of the field on a global scale. We encourage the submission of manuscripts reporting studies related to knowledge production and professional practice in nursing. The following are welcome: original and unpublished research using diverse methodological approaches; systematic literature reviews; case reports on specific contexts of men’s health conditions; studies on technological development and innovation; and theoretical studies that present new concepts, models, and theories, and advance scientific knowledge in the area of interest.
