Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Throughout history, mankind has utilized selective food breeding, even if it was performed without a basic understanding of genetics, physiology, and biochemistry. The production of fruits, vegetables, roots, tubers, as well as ornamental and pharmacological plants involves impressive conceptual and technological advances today. But the uncontrolled population growth and global climate changes we are experiencing now have put science in a 'checkmate'. This Special Issue on “Micropropagation in Horticulture: Plant Breeding for the Future” intends to expand the dissemination of the most impactful studies that agricultural scientists and plant breeders are developing, given the high interest in this topic. Our goal is to contribute to the growth of knowledge on diverse biotechnological applications. Reviews, mini-reviews, commentaries, and original research papers are all welcome.
