The Interaction of Plant Biotic and Abiotic Stresses: From Genes to the Field

Dear Colleagues,

Abiotic stresses are important environmental factors occasionally leading to enhanced production of secondary metabolites as well as different physiological and molecular responses. This Special Issue, entitled “The Interaction of Plant Biotic and Abiotic Stresses: From Genes to the Field”, aims to present recent progress of molecular and field experiments on abiotic stress. Biotic and abiotic stresses significantly affect the production as well as the quality of products. Abiotic stresses such as water stress, salt stress and heat stress are considered global crises due to their impact on the agricultural economy and terrestrial ecosystem productivity and threat to world food security. The integration of molecular, physiological and metabolite aspects has led to improvements in the quality of research as well as the functional output in this field.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Genes is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
