Blockchain technology has emerged as a disruptive and transformative force, with the potential to revolutionize a large number of industries and to reshape the future of digital transactions. As this technology continues to evolve, it has become imperative to explore its future prospects, advancements, challenges, and potential applications in a variety of domains. This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers, academics, and industry practitioners to contribute their insights and research findings on the future of blockchain technology. The main objective of this Special Issue is to highlight the future trends, opportunities and challenges associated with blockchain technology. By bringing together cutting-edge research and innovative ideas, this Special Issue aims to foster a deeper understanding of the potential impact and transformative capabilities of blockchain across different industries. Original research, reviews, case studies and theoretical perspectives are invited. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Future Internet is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
