MDPI’s Journal Cluster of Ecosystem and Resource Management Webinar | Healthy Biosphere, Healthy Humans (Session 1), 17 November 2026
Humans benefit from nature through the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and the clothes we wear, in addition to a host of indirect benefits we derive from other species dependent on the ecosystems we share.
Scientists and practitioners throughout the world are developing innovative methods and tools to determine not only the value of such benefits, but also their loss due to the adverse impacts of complex environmental issues, such as pollution, loss of biodiversity, and extreme weather conditions fuelled by climate change. In gathering fresh perspectives on these increasingly urgent issues, this webinar seeks to contribute to a new conceptualization of inclusive health and wealth, one that accounts for the value of—and our responsibilities to—the natural world around us.
