Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The field of interventional pediatric cardiology has undergone rapid advances over the past decade, including the development of new devices and refined techniques that have revolutionized care for congenital heart disease (CHD). In addition, increased use of other modalities, including rotational angiography, intracardiac and intravascular imaging, cross-sectional imaging overlay, 3-dimensional models, and virtual reality, has enhanced understanding of anatomies, improving efficacy and safety for complex transcatheter procedures. This progress has helped address CHD in a wide range of patients from premature infants to adults. As these innovations have progressed, the field has gained a new understanding of outcomes and shifted its approach to patients, with focus now centered on lifelong care.
The aim of this Special Issue is to highlight innovations and developments that are advancing transcatheter interventions. The submission of original articles and reviews is welcome, and contributions should enhance our insight into clinical care and outcomes of interventional cardiology for patients with CHD.
