Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The MYC oncoprotein is expressed by virtually all proliferating normal cells and is over-expressed and/or deregulated by the majority of naturally occurring and experimental cancers. Since its discovery over 40 years ago, MYC has been implicated in an ever-expanding number of cellular processes that go awry during cancer development and that converge upon and facilitate proliferation. These processes include, but are not limited to transcription, enhancer function, metabolism, cell cycle control, DNA damage repair, ribosomal biogenesis, translation, apoptosis and senescence, differentiation and aging. MYC’s unique position in cancer pathogenesis, as well as its ability to regulate the immune micro-environment, has also highlighted its importance as a critical therapeutic target. This Special Issue seeks to highlight new and emerging original discoveries pertaining to MYC’s role in normal and neoplastic cellular functions. We are interested in soliciting both original research and comprehensive review articles that will serve as topical resources for the above aspects of MYC function. Also of interest are articles pertaining to other members of the MYC family (e.g., MYCN) or the MYC-like MLX Network.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Cancers is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
