Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Advancing our understanding and treatment of speech and language disorders remains a priority for researchers and clinicians worldwide. Parallel to recent and innovative technological achievements, the treatment of speech and language disorders requires the implementation of innovative approaches that integrate emerging technologies with evidence-based practices. This Special Issue showcases the latest research and interventions, including the use of neurostimulation techniques such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to modulate neural activity, virtual reality (VR) platforms to create immersive and engaging therapeutic environments, and artificial intelligence (AI) systems to personalize and optimize treatment plans. These advancements are complemented by breakthroughs in traditional behavioral methods therapies. This Special Issue also explores strategies that address challenges related to accessibility and tailor interventions to diverse populations, including individuals with co-occurring conditions or multilingual backgrounds. By focusing on cutting-edge technologies and their integration into clinical practice, this Special Issue aims to inspire scientific innovation and accelerate progress in the treatment of speech and language disorders.
The Guest Editors of this Special Issue welcome contributions, from researchers and clinicians, that advance our knowledge regarding innovative treatment approaches and improve the quality of life of individuals affected by speech and language disorders.
