AI-Driven Innovations in Data Science and HCI

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue, “AI-Driven Innovations in Data Science and HCI”, seeks cutting-edge research on how artificial intelligence can reshape data science and human–computer interactions. We welcome papers exploring AI-driven data analytics, machine learning, and generative AI, as well as their integration into intelligent and adaptive interfaces. Topics include novel methods for large-scale data processing, visualization, and decision making, along with innovative approaches to human-centered design and user experience. We are particularly interested in interdisciplinary studies that bridge data science, cognitive computing, and emerging interaction paradigms, such as conversational agents and multimodal systems. Both theoretical developments and practical applications are encouraged, including case studies, algorithmic advances, and empirical investigations across industries. By highlighting AI-enabled tools and design strategies, this Special Issue aims to advance our understanding of next-generation interactive systems and foster collaboration between researchers and practitioners in data science, HCI, and AI innovation.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
