Recruiting Editorial Board Members for AI


AI (ISSN: 2673-2688) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal covering all areas of artificial intelligence, including cognition and reasoning, perception and planning, machine learning, intelligent robotics, and applications of AI, among other related areas.

AI publishes original research articles, reviews, and communications that offer substantial new insights into any field of study that involves artificial intelligence (AI). We are currently seeking interested and qualified academic researchers to join our Editorial Board to guide and contribute to the journal’s development.

As an Editorial Board Member, you can benefit from the following opportunities:

  • A certificate recognizing your position;
  • Travel grants for selected conferences that are confirmed by the journal office;
  • The opportunity to publish one paper free of charge per year in the journal and potential discounts for additional papers you invite;
  • Freely organizing or promoting your own conferences by using our platform SciForum once a year;
  • Expanding your research network and increasing your knowledge of your research field.

The initial term is two years, with the following responsibilities:

  • Pre-screening and making decisions on new submissions related to your research interests;
  • Setting up at least one Special Issue during your term on a topic related to your research interests (or supervising Special Issues related to your research field);
  • Providing input or feedback regarding journal policies;
  • Promoting the journal among your peers or at conferences;
  • Attending Board meetings to suggest journal development strategies;
  • Reviewing manuscripts.

Eligibility criteria for applicants:

  • A completed doctorate/PhD;
  • A strong record of publishing impactful work in the field of AI research;
  • A current academic position as an associate professor, or professor.
