Big Data and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The successful launch of UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015 was a historical action that united the integration and partnerships on a global scale, targeting the shared agenda of sustainable development and more balanced relationship between human beings and the planet. Such remarkable actions worldwide have helped the SDGs to penetrate almost all works of life, just as the technological revolution did, empowered by Big Data and related technologies. It is inevitable that these two significant domains and their integration are playing paramount roles in achieving the globally shared agenda.

This Special Issue aims to provide a unique set of publications that identify the values and impacts of Big Data on sustainable development in the context of each of the 17 UN SDGs and to contribute valuable insights for further research.
