
Big Data and Cognitive Computing | Recruiting Editorial Board Members for the “Large Language Models and Embodied Intelligence” Section
Big Data and Cognitive Computing (BDCC, ISSN 2504-2289) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal published online monthly by MDPI.
We are currently seeking experts to join the “Large Language Models and Embodied Intelligence” Section Editorial Board of BDCC and help guide its scientific direction and development.
The scope of the “Large Language Models and Embodied Intelligence” Section includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Large Language Models (LLMs) and Foundation Models: Architecture scaling, pre-training, fine-tuning, alignment, and capabilities;
- Multimodal Large Models: Systems that process and integrate vision, language, audio, and other sensory data;
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): Advanced applications of large models in translation, summarization, and dialogue;
- Embodied AI and Cognitive Robots: Algorithms for robot perception, navigation, and manipulation that require physical grounding;
- Digital Twin Technologies: Creating and using dynamic virtual models of physical systems for simulation, analysis, and control;
- 6G Semantic Communication: Task-oriented and knowledge-aware communication networks for agents and large models;
- AI Safety and Alignment in Large Models: Research on robustness, controllability, and the societal impact of powerful generative models.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have completed their doctorate/PhD degree;
- Have published impactful work in research areas covered by BDCC;
- Be serving as a senior lecturer, associate professor, or professor in academia at the time of application.
The main responsibilities of Editorial Board Members are as follows:
- Making editorial decisions on individual manuscripts related to their subject expertise;
- Setting up at least one Special Issue during their term on a topic related to their research interests;
- Providing input or feedback regarding journal policies;
- Helping to promote the journal among their peers or at conferences;
- Attending Board meetings to suggest journal development strategies;
- Reviewing manuscripts;
- Approving Special Issue proposals and Guest Editor appointments, overseeing assigned Special Issues, and monitoring their overall progress and activity, including submitted manuscripts.
