Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

We are pleased to announce that MDPI will participate in the 14th National Conference on Photonics, to be held in Harbin, China, from 15 August to 17 August 2025.
The 14th National Conference on Photonics is co-organized by the Technical Committees of Fiber Optics and Integrated Optics, High-Speed Photography and Photonics, and Optoelectronic Devices and Technologies under the Chinese Optical Society. It will cover five major themes: Optical Fibers & Applications, Integrated Optics & Photonic Chips, Ultrafast Laser & Transient Photonics, Micro/Nano Photonics, and Information Photonics Technologies and Applications. The conference aims to present cutting-edge research advancements in photonics, explore emerging trends in core technologies and discipline, and foster in-depth interactions between academia and industry.
