Cover Story: The virtual XXXI Congress of the Italian Society of Parasitology (SoIPa), “The Parasites of the Third Millennium”, was held along with an event of the European Society of Dirofilariosis and Angiostrongylosis (ESDA) in June 2021. The events focused on key parasitoses of medical and veterinary interest and addressed topics of national and international relevance. Over 200 scientific contributions (https://www.soipa.it/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Atti-XXXI-Congresso-SoIPa-2021-ESDA-Event-1.pdf) offer a basis for fruitful and stimulating collaborations. Many full articles have been published by the Special Issue of Pathogens on “Parasites of the Third Millennium” (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/pathogens/special_issues/parasite_third_millennium).
