Cover Story: Tenebrio molitor frass is emerging as a promising biofertilizer for sustainable crop production. This study investigated its effects on cucumber, pepper, and lettuce grown under greenhouse conditions at different fertility levels. Frass application improved plant growth and yield in all crops, with the strongest response observed in lettuce and clear benefits even in low-fertility substrates. Increasing the application rate from 1% to 2% or splitting the same total dose into two applications did not consistently improve performance, suggesting that low-input strategies may be sufficient. These findings highlight the potential of insect frass as a practical, biological fertilization tool for greenhouse vegetable production. View this paper
