2021	The inaugural issue was released. Crops was published as a quarterly journal.
2023	Crops published its 50th paper. Crops was indexed in Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
2024	Crops was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1). Crops was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
2025	Crops adopted a bimonthly publication schedule.
