Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This manuscript presented the stability control strategies for bidirectional energy storage converters based on AC constant power loads. Major issues are associated with the manuscript which must be addressed before the further processing of the paper.

1. Abstract, summarize the numerical results of proposed work, and discuss how it outperforms existing works.

2. Related work should be mentioned in a separate section by highlighting the comparative analysis in tabular manner. What are the unique features of this study compared to the existing works?

3. Contributions should be highlighted in bullet points and justified literature

4. A ‘Research Gap’ section should incorporate which will states the purpose of the study

5. Methodology section is not clear in present form. A flowchart should incorporate which represent the various steps of the proposed work.

6. Add the organization of the manuscript at the last of introduction section.

7. Figure 8 must be presented in more clear way.

8. Comparative analysis between proposed control Strategies must be presented in a separate comparative analysis section.

9. Another comparative analysis with other similar existing techniques must also be incorporated in the revised version of the manuscript to show the novelty of the work.

10. Authors must be more specific about the term stability. Authors must specify which type of stability is addressed in this work. Is it transient or steady state or dynamic stability, clearly mentioned.

11. More description about the selected microgrid system and various types of loads utilized in the microgrids are required for the better understanding of the work.

12. Authors must clearly present that how much percentage improvement is occurred with the help of proposed control Strategies in tabular form.

13. Conclusion also required presenting in more quantitative manner based on the obtained results.

14. Most of the references are very old. more recent references are required to incorporate and compared with the proposed work to show the novelty of the work.

15. Comparative analysis should also be presented based on the various controlling parameters.

Reviewer 2 Report

This paper develops the large-signal stability guarantee method for the ESS connected to the AC constant power loads. The paper structure is goo. But there are too many small mistakes. Please carefully revise this paper. The reviewer has the following concerns.

1. The title is confusing. The stability control strategies are based on AC constant power loads? or the bidirectional energy storage converters are based on AC constant power loads?

2. Please keep one space between the text and the citations. For example, in lines 31, 33, 35, and 62.

3. Please use high resolution vector figures. For example, Figs. 1,

4. In the paragraph below Fig. 2, please update the symbols to make the letters at the subscripts.

5. In line 121 and 123, someting is missing after ''in''.

6. In line 144, someting is missing.

7. In line 148, the is redundant.

8. In line 287, someting is missing.

9. Please enlarge Fig. 8.

10. Something is missing in line 357.

11. How about the small-signal stability guarantee, since the DC-AC CPL can also induce small-signal instability. For example as shown in reference Effect of Reactive Power Characteristic of Offshore Wind Power Plant on Low-Frequency Stability, Zhou, Weihua and Wang, Yanbo and Torres-Olguin, Raymundo E and Chen, Zhe. Please explain if the designed parameters can make system small-signal stable.

Reviewer 1 Report

authors tried to incorporate most of the comments, raised by the reviewer but still some comments need to be addressed.

1. Still comments related to the comparative analysis are not fully addressed.

2. in response to the comment number 12, authors presented stability influences in terms of increment and decrement. it should be presented in terms of numerical value.
