Reviewer 2 Report
This paper takes the important issue of ensuring the safety of people. However, it requires refinement.
Please explain what the statements refer to:
Line 14 – “It adopted the requirements…”
Line 15 – “It is based on…”
How to understand a sentence:
Lines 21-22 – “These chemicals are present in the 22 construction and auxiliary materials in the development of furniture”.
Lines 38-39 – (…) regulations are being conducted (…) and regulations are being introduced (…)
Line 48 – (…) a standard has been established (…) What standard?
Lines 64 and 68 – Repetition
Line 206 – 0.1 mg/m3 It should be 0.01 mg/m3
In section two, Materials and Methods, there are repetitions from section 1 Introduction (Lines 112 and 45 - Repetition). Part of the second section should be moved to the first section, such as description of the effects of formaldehyde on humans.
The description of the methodology in section two needs to be completed. The authors use the statements "it is possible to calculate the amount…", "it is possible to calculate the period of reduction of the initial concentration of harmful substances". Please describe how the calculations were carried out.
Were the data for the calculations obtained from measurements carried out by the Authors? Are these just assumptions?
What are the limitations of the indicated "method"?
Figure 2 is on page 5, while the description and reference are on page 8. Figures should be placed near they are cited.
Table 2 requires editing.
Line 265 – “The two substances, indicated in the table by two asterisks (…)”. Table 2 indicates one substance with two asterisks.
References should be numbered in order of appearance and indicated by a numeral in square brackets, e.g. [1].
