Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Comments and Suggestions for Authors1. When citing references, it is recommended to avoid referencing multiple sources in quick succession like line 53 on the second page, lines 88 and 94 on the third page, etc. Ensure that references directly relate to the paper's content and are listed sequentially to avoid unnecessary redundancy.
2. The logic in the introduction needs improvement, as the reviewer noted a lack of clarity regarding the motivation. Enhancing the coherence of the introduction by clearly explaining the research's motivation and background will help readers better understand the paper's content.
3. Lines 116-117 on the third page seem incomplete and require further elaboration for the paper's completeness and accuracy.
4. Figure 1 has missing frame lines in one of its sub-figures, which should be corrected to enhance the chart's clarity and precision.
5. The formulation of formulas appears somewhat rough. It is suggested to italicize formula variables, eliminate typographical errors, and ensure the accuracy of formula expressions.
6. Kindly provide a concise description of the paper's innovation and specific contributions to underscore its academic value and uniqueness.
7. The absence of titles for numerous sub-figures in Figures 3, 4, and 5 necessitates the addition of sub-figure titles to help readers understand the role and significance of each sub-figure.
8. Authors are encouraged to increase the amount of experimental data and compare it with relevant studies from the past three years to validate the feasibility of the yield model and the accuracy of the results.
Comments on the Quality of English LanguageFurther optimization is required in the language expression of the article, including simplifying complex sentence structures and utilizing more appropriate vocabulary

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsMinor changes are needed on the use of acronyms in the text and captions. The figures containing the vegetation index maps need to be improved. They are currently of low quality and with legends that are difficult to read. I hope that the authors will improve the article and the quality of the presentation.
This article needs minor revision.

Comments and Suggestions for Authorstitle: should be "yield"?
Keywords: avoid using the same from title.
Introduction: it isn't clear how your study bring innovation compared to other findings in literature.
Area of study: clarify the importance of maize crop for the selected region. Describe the weather conditions and the soil condition of the area.
UAV Flight: specify the time of the day that the flights were performed and the phenological condition of the crop, as well as the days after sowing for data collection.
Method of prediction: is it considered all data for regression? how did you validate the prediction of yield?
Figure 3: I think some notes on figure aren't part of your study. I didn't understand the representation and legend, is it a matrix with VIs?
Figure 4: include the size of the plot on methodology. Is it the yield obtained by plot or a mean of the area? The soil background should be removed to obtain less interference on valus of VIs.
Figure 6: it is difficult to understand by readers, consider to show just the significant values.
Figure 7: provide unit for axis.
line 382: should be "RMSE"?
Conclusion: future studies should be reported on Results or Discussion.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsDear Editor-in-Chief,
Thank you very much for making this manuscript entitled "Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Measured Multispectral Vegetation Indices for Predicting LAI, SPAD Chlorophyll and Yiled of Maize" available.
The work presents relevant and good-quality results. However, some important observations must be made and, when corrected, they must be highlighted in the text.
Below are the observations:
Line 28: Please, I believe it is best to describe the acronyms in full, for example, what is WDRVI? This way the reader will have a better understanding.
Line 91: In the sentence: "Various The", is that what you meant to write?
Line 103: What are the works that reported this?
Line 106: Was there any hypothesis that motivated the study? If yes, which one?
Line 121: After the maize please write (Zea mays L.)
Line 126: Please improve the quality of the figure and increase the font size of the text.
Line 198: Is Equation 4 really correct?
Line 229: The figure is missing the T in the numbers. Also, why didn't you create a scaling ramp?
Line 269: Is "R value" the same as "R2"? Please standardize.
Comments on the Quality of English LanguageAdjustments must be made.
