Cover Story: This paper describes the use of a neuroimaging fMRI methodology employing a self-reflection task to highlight patterns of activation associated with different thinking styles/personality orientations. The data demonstrate that each thinking style utilised different and possibly preferred brain regions during self-reflection and cognition. Additionally, the data further suggest that perception of self or self-image may be influenced by these personality orientations.
