Cover Story: B3 breast lesions, or "lesions of uncertain malignant potential", represent a challenging area in breast pathology. Detected during routine breast imaging and biopsy, these lesions include atypical ductal hyperplasia, lobular neoplasia, flat epithelial atypia, and papillary lesions, among others. While not outright malignant, B3 lesions carry an elevated risk of developing into breast cancer or being associated with malignancy. Accurate diagnosis and management are critical, requiring a multidisciplinary approach to balance overtreatment risks against ensuring patient safety. This paper explores the pathology, diagnostic challenges, and evolving management strategies for B3 lesions. View this paper
