Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear authors and editor,

I have read with interest the resubmitted version of the manuscript Evaluation of Pandanus Trees as a Means of Eco-DRR Against Storm Surge Wave on Saint Martin’s Island, Bangladesh. I am pleased of how the authors have done a great deal of work improving the manuscript and taken into account my previous comments. The manuscript is much better presented, reads well and it is an important piece of research as it addresses a small part of the world that has not been thoroughly investigated previously.

I only have a few minor comments.

Line 46: please change "although" for "but"

Line 59: please change to: ... dissapearing from the island due to...

Line 173: please delete "the tide system is normal" as it is redundant and the next sentence describe the tidal regime.

Section 2.2.2. Please mention the software used.

Figure 2. I suggest to move Figure 2 to the end of the paragraph on line 300.

Line 330: missing reference "[]"

Figure 7: Move to the end of paragraph.
